I wrote a song that has just been released on our new album called Spirit
(Are You Alright) based on what I believe to be a spirit caught in the photo
that you see here. I was in Williamsport, PA shooting a Japanese Movie based on
the Little World Series. All of the hotels were full because of this big event.
So we had to find an alternative place to stay. Luckily, we met a really
generous family who were from Williamsport and happen to live in a really cool
house that was over 100 years old. I stayed there for a few days with several
members of the Japanese crew. On my last day there I decided to take some
pictures of the different rooms in the house to document my trip. I happened to
take this picture in the dinning room real quick, and I looked at the frame and
it looked like something was in it, so I snapped another picture and then moved
throughout the house snapping a few more of different areas. I didn't notice the
strange figure until I got back home and checked out the photos a few days
later. I was pretty freaked out by this shot. It looks like a hand and an arm
connected to a body of some sort of spirit that was trying to jump out of the
way, much like I surprised it. You can see the shape of fingers and the thumb of
the hand. I was so intrigued by this photo that I got inspired and wrote a song
about it recalling this event, as well as contemplating the many spirits that
may be around us that we just dont notice. If there are in fact real spirits
among us, are they all right? That is the question.
